At the thanksgiving service for the late Olorogun Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, held at St’ Joseph Catholic Church, Oginibo in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Reverend Father Moses paid a heartfelt tribute to the departed leader.

In his homily, Reverend Father Moses described Olorogun Gbagi as a man who consistently spoke the truth, regardless of the consequences.

“Like the Biblical Amos, he was a battle axe in the Urhobo nation,” he said.

“We are gathered here today to thank God for a man who had the heart of a lion.”

The Reverend Father highlighted his ability to forge numerous friendships and, like Jesus, noted that his forthrightness also earned him some enemies.

He urged Gbagi’s children to cooperate with one another and work towards rebranding their father’s name, ensuring his legacy endures.

“Gbagi means different things to different people,” Reverend Father Moses stated, emphasizing the multifaceted nature of the late leader’s influence.

He acknowledged that it would take a long time for the Urhobo nation to find another leader as tenacious and dedicated as Gbagi.
